We wanted to have the same confidence when our grandson is in our car hence the reason we also bought this camera. That said, with a downloadable app and easy placement of the unit, we think this one is great for travel and new or awkward spaces. We liked the extra features of lullabies and a projecting night light, both of which can be turned on or off via the parent unit. With so many different versions, we wanted a portable baby monitor that we could use anywhere at home or in the car. I purchased this product because we have our baby's seat in the center seat which has no headrest for a mirror and as new parents, we really wanted to be sure that the baby was okay while we were driving.
