Still, there is so much I don’t know about him and I hope that one of the other trilogies will provide me with even more information about his origins and background story. Under Hobb's name on the cover there's a line "author of x" that changes from "Royal Assassin" to "Ship of Magic" to "Fool's Fate" between printings.

Molly is just way younger than him, and apart from Nettle, they don’t really seem to have anything in common. lol* After the ending of book two I had no idea where Robin Hobb wanted to go with this so you could either say that I was blissfully oblivious to every possible outcome or you could go with the theory that there were so many possibilities that I didn’t care in which direction it would head. A UK paperback reprint with the new Jackie Morris cover by Harper Voyager the 16th of January 2014 with ISBN 9780007562275.The Farseer Trilogy is a must read for fantasy lovers, characters, setting and storyline all excellently written. FitzChivalry Farseer has been raised from death, but spends months with the mind of a wolf after his time sharing minds with Nighteyes. Sure, Verity compelled him, but he was still surrounded by Regal’s coterie with a fatal wound in his arm! I’m glad he and Fitz sorted things out and that he mourned him when he thought him to be dead, but still. La voie magique (L'Assassin royal 5) the 23rd of February 2017 from Audible Studios, length 12 hours and 36 minutes, narrated by Sylvain Agaësse.

A Russian translation Странствия убийцы published by Эксмо in 2003 in hardcover with ISBN 5699017364 and Stephen Youll's cover art. Those very some of the best in the entire trilogy and why I think I still loved this book more than Royal Assasin. I know many of my goodreads friends gave “Assassin’s Quest” a rather low rating and weren’t happy with the ending and even though I understand their reasoning I still feel the need to declare that I liked it!

A US paperback edition in 2014 with cover art by Alejandro Colucci to match the US design of Fool's Assassin with ISBN 9780553565690.

Believe me, it pained me to give this book a 2 stars rating—and this is me being generous already—but I really can’t give this book a higher rating than that. But for those of you who have read this series and would like to discuss it with me, let’s get into some of my more detailed thoughts! Speaking of the Skill, though – Did anyone else think it was mildly annoying that both Fitz and Verity were able to Skill exactly when it happened to be most convenient for the plot?

The thing is, the more knowledgeable character said if he/she let him know, the results will be catastrophic but then when Fitz finally found out, NOTHING happened. My opinion of Starling quickly goes downhill when she first reprimands Fitz over how he treats Molly, then immediately tries to sleep with him. The group encounter a road leading to a ruined city, both constructed of a black stone imbued with Skill. The sequence ends in an emotionally charged battle of words that scatters our heroes onto their own separate paths.
