Not getting a strong sense of attraction here, as the name suggests, but a strong sense of individuality. Its’ been a couple of years since I first fell head over heels for a certain Vintage Vamp make up collection (which I promise had nothing to do with the rose gold and rich maroon packaging)- and ever since I’ve been positively in love with Charlotte Tilbury. But I don't think anyone actually expected a wow perfume from a makeup lady (who is however pretty good at making makeup). This is my go to perfume, I've been wearing it for 5 years now and I get stopped by so many women wanting to know what perfume I'm wearing.

The base notes that stands out for me is Iso E Super, the stuff that makes up one of my favourite perfumes, Eccentric Molecules Molecule 01 (reviewed here). Both hyper-feminine and irresistibly seductive, this enhances your powers of attraction - perfect for a first date when you want to feel beguiling but emboldened. It smells like an old fashioned cheap and nasty fragrance you would give to your worst enemy for secret Santa.More of a light, clean floral which is not terrible from an arms length but up close where I sprayed on my wrist is all pepper, patchouli and tuberose. But 10 minutes later another colleague arrived and went into a volley of sneezing announcing that 'someone is wearing a big strong perfume' (I 'fessed up and went and scrubbed it off my neck).

For me, it sort of conjures up hazy images of children running through well-manicured gardens in crinoline dresses. On Tilbury's part, Moss proved the perfect choice due to the hypnotic, beguiling qualities that have underpinned her modelling success. So I eagerly picked up a bottle to take a sniff because there was no cards I could spray it on around and .com perfumes magazine - All Rights Reserved - do not copy anything without prior written permission. I contemplated simply donating it to the recycling plant, but remembered a helpful hint I had read sometime ago in Fragrantica. However, the other day, said daughter was wafting something gorgeous and when she told me it was her Kate Moss perfume I couldn't believe it! The perfumes that captivate you and the ingredients that brings them to life shape your olfactory profile.

but for me a sharp chypre top overlays a lush floral with just a slight edge of marigold bitterness. I smell roses, adelhydes, pepper, saffron and patchouli, the fresh aromatic kind, not the dirty earthy kind which I cannot stand. What I experienced when I tried this fragrance was an uplifting, fresh citrus blast, followed by a wave of indistinct floral chypre notes and a sort of salt/wood base. I only wear this when I'm in the most specific mood ever: My boyfriend has left the house, and I have all afternoon to play in makeup and red lipsticks at my vanity. All in all, I feel like Scent Of A Dream let us all get to know a little more about Charlotte Tilbury. I have been awaiting the release of Charlotte Tilbury’s Scent of A Dream for what seems like forever! Tilbury's ridiculous marketing claims aside, this scent is trying to be a sexy chypre but it's a disappointment.

On my skin this is a musky, soapy floral along the lines of Guerlain Idylle, SJP Lovely and Modern Muse which normally I can't tolerate and find headache inducing. I think sometimes we can be very critical of mass marketed fragrances, but I still regard this as somewhat of a ‘high street niche’ - like an Hermes or a Narciso Rodriguez. It doesn't fit at all in today's trend of sweet nothings, where scents are sugary, ephemeral, and last at most an hour or two.By signing up you agree with this and confirm that you are over 13 years of age, or have the consent of a parent or guardian.
